On Tuesday, October 15th, a World Heritage Class was heldfor 11 first-year grade students from the Nara Prefectural University Senior High School.
The lecturer was Michiyo Kubo, a freelance presenter and traveller with an interest in World Heritage.
Her lecture was about World Heritage Sites, including those on Okinawa, where the students will be travelling for a study trip next spring.
The class was held after school for students who wanted to attend.
It was a great opportunity for each student to deepen their understanding of the historical background of World Heritage sites and the importance/issues of their conservation.
