On Friday, November 8th, a World Heritage Class was held for 33 second-year students from the Nara Prefectural Nara High School of Business and Technology.
The lecturer was Michiyo Kubo, a freelance presenter and traveller with an interest in World Heritage.
In the first half, her lecture was on various World Heritage Sites. In the second half, the students presented the results of group discussions about issues and solutions facing Mont Saint-Michel, a World Heritage Site in France.
Within a limited time, the prior learning helped all the students to participate in the discussions and come up with various ideas, providing a good opportunity to think about the challenges facing World Heritage Sites from multiple perspectives.
