The 2025 ACCU Nara Cultural Heritage Seminar, "The Significance of Asuka-Fujiwara becoming a World Heritage Site," was held on 17 January, 2026.
Dr. SUZUKI Chihei, Specialist for Cultural Properties, Agency for Cultural Affairs, was invited to lecture about the historical background and value of “Asuka-Fujiwara: Archaeological sites of Japan’s Ancient Capitals and Related Properties," which is currently nominated for inscription on the World Heritage List. Dr. SUZUKI also talked about the World Heritage system and inscription process. There was also a question and answer session, making the seminar engaging and meaningful.
